review 1: One word: LOVED!!! This story was perfect from beginning to end! I adored our hero, total head oover heals adored! Joss, our female lucky lady, the heroine was equally as adorable in her own snarky way, BOTH together were combustable! Each had stuff they came to the relationship with from their past...both worked their way through. Once again, love conquers all! Laura Kaye writes great stuff people!
review 2: This story is about Joss Daniels and Brady Scott, 2 people who had rough childhoods and real life challenges. This to me was one of the most easily relatable stories of this genre, it's two regular, every day people. Joss was the Director of a Child Community Center and Brady was in the Military and the story was easily believable. There were no car chases
... more, no young millionaires and no BDSM, just a very sweet love story about 2 people working through their emotional baggage and finding their happy ending. That said, the love scenes were smoking as were the 2 main characters and the language was salty at times. The writer also took time to build back stories and addional characters and weave both seamlessly into the story. Joss did not look like the typical love story girls. Sure she was pretty but she had a tongue piercing, tattoos and pink highlighted hair. Underneath it all she loved kids and longed for a family of her own, something she didn't have growing up. It was amazing to see how these two people found their missing pieces in each other and how they completed each other. I also like the way Brady, after messing things up, wooed Joss. She didn't give in right away and he really had to work for it. I won't give much more away but be prepared for the sweet ways he demonstrates his love for her- made me laugh and cry. This book was just the right length and it delivered on everything. I love this author's style and will look for her books in the future. I could not love this book any more and yes I re-read it a couple of times because once was not enough. less
