review 1: Wow ! I dont have enough words and enough stars.The beginning of the book is so hot.The woman is the free mind and she gives the guy the opportunity to awaken HIS sexuality. That is really empowering.I think i m in love with Erin. She is stellar. The woman i always wanted to be.Most romance/erotica starrs shy girl who discover their hiden sexuality. But this "reversed" role thing just blow my mind. And this is really well written.Then come the polyamourous theme and I really liked how all the protagonists are honests and open minded: that is a fresh breath among all those novel who link D/s and threesome (and not polyamorous) like some dark sexuality linked to troubled minds and troubled pasts. I like to think this is a powerfull feminist love story. Not only because the... more woman is a strong personnality, independant and at ease with herself. But because she gives also to the man/men the opportunity to be themselves too. She is honest in her way of life, in her feelings, in her sexuality.And , for me, feminism is not about hating men, or wanting to be better than men, or living without them.It is about being yourself, not living the dreams society want you to fit, but living your own dreams, your own desires. This is a feminist book because not only because of the independant woman, but because the men are freed too. Feminism Liberate men and women.
review 2: I actually liked the first half of this book telling the past and present story of ex-cop Todd Keenan and rocker chick Erin Brown. The complex and raw emotions of two people, one dealing with denial and the other intense grief and how they moved past these feelings to form a rock solid relationship was really engaging.Where it fell down for me was the introduction of the third person into the relationship. It just changed the whole tone of the book - yeah, I know it's erotica but somehow I just didn't buy all those intense feelings expressed stretching to include another person. ★★☆ (2.5 stars) less
