review 1: I love this book and its predecessor so much. The deadpan way in which Emma-Jean looks onto her preadolescent peers' "problems" is just so hilarious and engaging. The one thing I would change about this book is the general predictability of the whole "secret-admirer" plot. I almost immediately figured out who it was, perhaps because I'm not a seventh grader. However, it was very satisfying when the admirer was revealed and I was right. Overall, this book was fantastic, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone who wants a quick--but highly intelligent--read.
