review 1: Francesca och Ivan öppnar en bokhandel i Paris där bara "bra" romaner säljs. Lanseringen är succéartad, fortsättningen desto mer problemfylld. Kritiker attackerar bokhandeln och den hemliga kommitté som väljer utbudet spåras upp och angrips. Jag hade (mycket) höga förväntningar och hade väntat mig mer av möten och intriger i bokhandeln. Istället är det först i bokens tredje del som berättelsen blommar ut och sätter fart.
review 2: "A Novel Bookstore" is a must-read for all lovers of literature. The characters are delightfully quirky readers and writers bound together by their love of "good books," and by their need for a bookstore which only features such offerings. The mystery which underlies the story is secondary to the bookstore which i... mores the focus of this novel and the people who frequent it. I was sad to reach the last page of this wonderful book. less
