The Dominic Grey Novels
review 1: I loved this! This had been a Fussy Librarian suggestion and I came into it with next to no knowledge of what I was going to read. Wow. This has the excitement and pacing of a Dan Brown novel but actually well-written and intelligent. There was a comic mini-series called "Drums" a number of years ago which delved into Santeria/Voodoo that this reminded me of but the subject was able to be given a lot more coverage and detail in prose and it is a perfect light read that you won't be able to put down.
review 2: i picked this book up on a 99 cent sale from Amazon, because the character and locale sounded interesting. i don't know how many other books Dominic Grey has written before this one, but his style is well developed and the prose reasonable, although not
... moreexceptional in any way. the story was very interesting and i did really enjoy the descriptions of Zimbabwe...it was clear that Grey had lived there for some time in the past. there is some good action, a bit of romance and lots of tension, so the book was well worth the buck...i will probably go ahead and read the next two in this series, as they were also only a buck. a pretty good entertainment value... less
