review 1: Another Jack Reacher novel, this one gets Reacher involved in a mystery when he is picked up hitch-hiking. Seems the people who picked him are more than they seem. The first half of the novel is brilliant. Five stars. Hooks you right off and is a gripping read. But it starts to meander quite a bit in the back half where the story is resolved. Went on a bit long for my liking. Thus it only gets three stars from me.
review 2: This is a great book. I really enjoy Lee Child's writing style. The Jack Reacher character is awesome. He is 6'5" tall and moves like a ninja. For example, he's sitting in a lawn chair and it takes him only 1/2 second to be standing up...where it would take a normal person about 2 seconds along with a grunt for the effort. He's very straig... moreht and to the point. No wasted movement and no wasted thoughts. He's very focused. I cannot wait to read the next Jack Reacher adventure. less
