review 1: This book was just incredibly fun to read for me. I don’t even know how I found it! It was something to read that was light hearted, cute, and funny. If you enjoy a little mystery that’s not too serious, you’ll enjoy this book! Probably the only thing that I think could be different for me was the main character’s thoughts were not in first person, which I thought was strange. The ending was tied up a bit fast, and I did feel slightly confused by the end result, but I still really liked it. I was looking at the next one. I mean the book wasn’t perfect, but extremely fun!
review 2: This story needs to say that it is a short story! I read it in a little over an hour and I am not a speed reader by any means. It looked like a cute, cozy mystery but it left
... more a lot of things out. And some of the aspects of the story.... puh-lease! - a police officer getting involved with a suspect, wearing high heels while working in a bakery all day, not getting to the bakery until it just about opens, takes all the day old items home to eat.....If the book had been flushed out to a full length book it may have been better. I read another review that said it best "A simple story line with just a few attractive characters. Uncomplicated character development and setting. Perfect for a rainy afternoon at the beach." Too bad that was after I bought and read it. less
