review 1: Wow. This book. I absolutely adored this book. It was witty, adorable, steamy, goofy, hilarious, swoon-worthy, and had a constant "what the hell is happening" vibe. I am so glad that this was lent to me, because I probably wouldn't have read it on my own. I am SO glad I did!! I love the crap out of this book!Six of Hearts is just...different. And I really loved it. I don't even know what else to say. Just read it. Don't look up spoilers or anything, just pick this one up! It's got some adult content(of the steamy variety), so I wouldn't recommend this for younglings, but otherwise, read it!!
review 2: I LOVED "Painted Faces". "Six of Hearts"... not so much. I guess that would have to do with the formulaic themes that keep coming up: Guy has a job that wouldn't ... morenormally make a living, but wait! He's somehow rich otherwise. Big genitalia on part of the male. Semi virgin on part of the female. And "Six of Hearts" had a particularly predictive plot (not talking about the HEA) and a little bit of a naive heroine. I would have loved to love the book, but I didn't. less
