review 1: This is the first book in a trilogy. The main character is a forensic psychologist with the DA's department in a town in New York. She gets involved in the case of a teenage girl's murder in a ritualistic manner in the woods during a drinking party. She teams up with an ex-pro football legend with whom she had gone to school who now wants to become a PI. The book is part police procedural with supernatural aspects with Biblical overtones too. I'm going to buy #2 next week. Have to wait for #3 to be written.
review 2: A story so intriguing, I couldn't put it down - finished in less than 48 hours. A gruesome murder, so many clues, supernatural mysteries, and a hint of romance. I especially like the additional parallel information, including snippets of Latin & ... moreRussian. In my opinion, a book that teaches me something while it entertains my mind with a story is the best type. Definitely going to look up other books by this author! less
