review 1: I found this book to be much like the first one. A woman outside of the coven that Justice is after, she falls for a guy (bad timing), pregnant, hesitant about police, fights Justice and the end. A little more information is brought out about Siren Song and life there, but we still do not fully understand why Justice is going after them. The other big problem I have with the book is that the characters are stupid. Laura knows Justice is after her, but decides to not have any protection (I would have even been happy with mace). Then when she suspects someone is in her house and that her knife is missing, she just stands there. Finally when she is attacked, who does she call? Harrison, the reporter! And does Harrison call the police... no! I don't care how crazy people would... more think me, but if a serial killer attacked me, I'd be calling up the police; especially, if it could keep him from killing other people, but Laura just thought about herself. And like the last book the author repeats key phrases and even repeats the same conversation between the same characters. The good parts are that I find Justice completely creepy and the ending leaves a hanger for the next book.
review 2: I read many of the other reviews on this book and agree with most of them. It was too long of a story, but then there were several intertwining stories that took time to develop and play out. What I really enjoyed (yes enjoyed a book about a psycho killer) was where the story takes place - Oregon Coast. I love the city of Seaside and could picture Harrison sitting at a café on Broadway watching people go by; or walking on the Promenade at the Turnaround. Coastal cities, every bit as described. Of course, I may never look at another Oregon lighthouse the same, without thinking, I wonder if there is a serial killer hiding out there - waiting. Not an epic novel, but a good summer read. less

Not bad, but not as good as Lisa's other books. She might want to stick to writing solo.

this was a great book. Suspense and romance tied with mystery.
