review 1: I loved this book. I'll admit that I wasn't expecting much when I started reading. The plot seemed interesting so I gave it a try. I was blown away! I loved how all the characters were interlaced. I like how X-Phonie (I think that's what he or she calls himself/herself) is one of the Phoenix 5. The book is interesting and I am excited to begin the 2nd book. I also heard that there are 4 books in the series, which is great because I just want to read more and more.
review 2: I found this book kind of boring. Now of course there was some good parts but it didn’t meet my expectations. When I first viewed this book to see if I wanted to read it I couldn’t put it down. Sure it was only the first five pages but I thought if I loved it then then I should love the ... moreentire book. Well that assumption was wrong. As I read more and more of this book I lost more and more interest. This book is about five teenagers in high school. The book is made up of their journals their teacher told them to right in about their feelings throughout the school year. That’s one thing I didn’t like. Until about the time they got the email (which if you read the book you’ll find out what it is) I didn’t really think there was much of a plot. I felt like I was just reading random things. It was just entries of peoples days and their feelings, which wasn’t that intriguing to me. If I had to recommend this to anyone it would be mostly girls around the ages of 13 to 16. I don’t think many guys would enjoy this book so I wouldn’t really recommend it to them. less
