review 1: A fun read with very few words, most of them being expressions of fun on a sled. Fabulous expressions on the animals' faces. Would work in storytime with kids telling the story. Liked the ending. Makes me want to go sledding--which desire I haven't had in over a decade.1/9/13 & 1/10/13: Normal size group Wed. and TINY group Thu. But this book worked for both. They loved the pictures. They loved helping me tell the story. All those animals--how can you not help liking it? And I totally forgot there was a moose in there! (I brought in my moose for another book, so it was perfect.)
review 2: Our 16 month old got this book for Christmas from her Uncle and she loves it!! Right now it is hard to get her to sit through one entire book and it keeps her attention with l... moreaughs and giggles ALL THE WAY through. She loves the sounds of sledding and walking in the snow and tries to mimic the sounds I read to her. This is a big deal as she can only say a handful of words, encouraging her to expand her language. I just wish I had this in board book format so she could easily turn the pages.It's so cute. In the last 24 hours, she has asked me to read it to her on 6 separate occasions by carrying it over and putting the book in my lap. An awesome find. less
