review 1: Night World has two laws:Humans cannot know about Night World.Don't fall in love with a human.These three books share what happens when these rules are broken. The subplot really takes hold as these stories share the arrival of those who can save or destroy the world as we know it. The soul mate principal is still at work, but there it is intertwined with finding the four (three in this book). I picked up this series without any recommendations from others. I'm glad that I did. The individual stories were interesting and fun. I am now sharing my copies with friends and family.However, I have NO idea when the 10th story will come out. These 9 texts were out in the '90s, but there still in no conclusion to the "subplot."
review 2: This book is amazing. L.J. Smith... more outdid herself with it. I honestly believe these were the best books in the series. I'm happy they put all nine books in three volumes so it seems like less to read!!!! I just wish L.J. Smith would hurry up and finish the last book!!! I heard it comes out in 2030 but I know that's not true thank goodness!!! This was the best series I've read since Twilight and I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoyed that series. less
