review 1: Look, I have been very fond of this series for years. But by this point, it's the same story over and over again. Uptight Breed male who growls a lot meets female, all the blood immediately leaves his brain and heads further south, they growl at each other until the bordering-on-violent sex happens (and y'know, for something that's supposed to be pleasurable, she sure does use a lot of adjectives that suggest pain), and then it's rounds of arguing over whether or not a Breed's mate gets to do anything even remotely dangerous alternating with lots more loud and rampaging sex, always including at least one scene where anal happens and she both loves it and enjoys it even though all Breed males are hung like Percheron stallions.Bonus annoyance, this one had editing errors, gr... moreammatical errors, and at one point I'm 99% sure the copyeditor lost half a page.
review 2: Well the actual love story was pretty good. The sex fantastic! Loved the whole wolf knot thing! WowHow ever. It only got a 3 star because it was written so badly. It felt completely rushed, a lot of unresolved situations, the conclusions were " they caught all the spies" not who, how or why. Dumb!Also it was totally confusing at times. The prolog jump into the story was utterly confusing.woe what happened? And conversations were really confusing because at times I couldn't tell who was saying what and I might have to read a conversation 3 of 4 times to try and figure it out! At the end of the story, the were kissing in the hallway leaning against the steel walls and somewhere during that kiss they ended up in their bedroom 4 floors up naked in bed having had sex and being disturbed. However none of that was mentioned other than the fact of "she could feel the last wave of hot come inside her" ! When I read this I had a "hu?" Reaction when did that happen? Was hat from the sex let over last night? And the in the next sentence he was rolling off her and pulling the covers to cover her. It all took place during the long kiss while he was telling her he love her. Really utterly baffling. It's as if they left out 2 or 3 pages or at least a break line to indicate it's a change. But now. It was all in the same paragraph! The editing was awful too. Not he spelling but the punctuational, sentences, repeating of words, ("he that he said that she did..")So 3 stars for a really rushed, utterly confusing, bad editing glad it was a library book and not paid for. less
