review 1: 20/9 - 3.5 stars. This was reasonably good, but I got a bit bored in the second half and had trouble staying awake while reading it last night, in the end I had to skim about 50 pages before I could wake myself up enough to pay more attention and finish the book. The sex scenes were on par with all the other Leigh books, nothing particularly new, but nothing bad.I thought Zeke's reasons for staying away from Rogue sounded very fake. He kept saying she was too innocent to deal with his proclivities, he said that he hadn't been able to be himself in all his past relationships since the death of his wife, but when he finally is 'himself' with Rogue his sexual appetites appeared no more out there than any other alpha male that I've ever read. I don't understand what the bi... moreg deal was. If he thinks he's different, 'unique', he should read more romance, he'd see that he's not that different after all, in fact, compared with some of the other men of his type, he'd be at the bottom of the alpha male controllingness-hierarchy.
review 2: OMG I do believe this killer is clever as hell and hysterical. I don’t care how crazed his ass is, that shit’s funny! :-))“I know where you are, Rogue,” he sang through the night. “Just around the corner, just around the bend. Searching for warmth before your life is set to end.”(Still reading but absolutely had to stop and share!)Okay so out of the Nauti series I’ve read Nauti Nights (Dawg and Crista’s story, the second book of the series) which I liked and Nauti Intentions (Alex and Janey’s story, the fourth book of the series) which I liked even more then Nauti Nights. Nauti Intentions will lead you into Nauti Deceptions because Rogue is Janey’s best friend and is a part of Janey’s story and Zeke was also in the story too because him and Alex are friends. So they are books that I feel have to be read in order there. I didn’t read Nauti Boy because I saw that it was a ménage book and I’m not a big fan of ménage books… I’ve read them but sharing just doesn’t float my boat… I don’t feel like I missed anything skipping it though… Rowdy and Kelly were brought up in the all three of the books I read… so I really feel like it didn’t hurt skipping. I’m not sure why I skipped Natches story, I thought there was a reason but now I can’t remember… but he too was brought up in the other ones and I don’t feel like I missed much before going into Janey’s and Alex’s… But anyways… my review of Nauti Deceptions… I enjoyed this one just as much as Janey’s and Alex’s story. It was smoking hot, maybe even hotter than Janey’s and Alex’s. Zeke was f*cking sexy and he could spank me any day. LOL! But there was that one moment that so wasn’t cool with what he did to Rogue… Sighs… I guess it could have been worse though… and I do believe my favorite part of the book (minus Zeke’s hot sex scenes) was the killer gone poetic part I was laughing my ass off. I even called my Mom and shared that part with her and had her laughing out loud over it. OHH TOO FUNNY! Good read… I’m thinking I might eventually give the Nauti Girl’s series a chance… Are they really about the Nauti Boys daughters though?! I saw something that made me believe it could be...? Anyways 4 Stars!! less

Lora Leigh is a hit or miss for me.. this book was a HUGE miss for me. The storyline was terrible..because there wasn't one. The conflict between the couple was stupid. The lead character has a complete personality change during the prolouge/chapter one going from a sweet school teacher to a wild bar owner who is suddenly "so tough" and bad. There is just too much that I disliked about this book. The Nauti series for me was not worth my time.

It dragged a bit in the middle, but picked back up eventually.

Not as good as any of the other Nauti books but I love Rogue.
