review 1: Kind of torn with this review/rating and let me explain.L. Bartlett is such an amazing writer that anything from her automatically starts at a 5 star review.I love the premise, I love the setup (still a 5 star rating).Characters weren't as developed as I would've liked and I didn't care about them like I usually do in her writing (we're now at a 4.5 rating). And I figured out exactly where she was going with the story and had the plot figured out by 35% of the way in so....we'll settle on a 4 star rating.Quick little cozy mystery by a great writer.I would not recommend this to everyone on the streets but if you have even a passing interest in mysteries then I think it's a good bet that you would enjoy this.
review 2: The Nichols family learns that their stodgy o
... moreld Uncle Albert, is rather more than his outward appearance and behavior would have them believe. When he enters the Nursing home, his favorite Niece discovers what is real and what is illusion. Can the family resist the specter of millions just waiting for the old man's death? After all he was never kind to them.I finished this story with a laugh. The ending was so satisfying. I encourage you to read this short story while commuting or just for a break time. less
