review 1: Katie has long dreamed of buying and renovating Webster House, but it seems that it will never happen. Someone else has purchased the place, but when Katie goes to welcome the new people, in her capacity as president of the merchants' association, she's right on the spot when a skeleton is found in the walls. A locket identifies the skeleton as Heather, the long-missing niece of Katie's friend, elderly Rose. Heather's long-ago death has repercussions to the present, as the very busy Katie adds investigation to the other things on her to-do list.
review 2: Wonderful 2nd of the Victoria Square Mystery Series. Skeleton found in a wall- a girl missing 22 years, "lazy" sheriff which means Katie works to solve the murder herself in order to ease the mind of her fri... moreend. Then there are 3 additional murders before a killer emerges. Lorraine Bartlett has a way of weaving the story without leaving any breadcrumbs to follow then reveals 'who-done-it' while tying everything together in one 'fell swoop'. I was NEVER bored and didn't want to put it down- consequently I read this through in one sitting. The only complaint I have- Katie's "stress reliever" in the first book isn't mentioned as much in this story (although I think there is more stress on her). I was wanting to 'crunch' for her!! less
