review 1: Wow. I'm a great big fantasy nerd (amongst other things) and I really enjoyed this one. Again, picked it up at a library giveaway, and just now opened it. I finished it in a night. However, the reason you are looking at three stars instead of five is because of two reasons. Number one, some of the scenes and such seemed a little bit disjointed, as if the author had a scene she was going to put there and forgot it, and the ending. The ending left me flapping in silent rage, I tell you. Now, I am off on a hunt for some sort of sequel, because I NEED to know what happens to Ruith and Sarah. I guess that was the author's goal, but still... Not cool.
review 2: Originally when I read the blurb for this book, I thought it was going to be a completely different book to... more the first three in the nine kingdoms series. However, the characters are carefully intertwined in this book which has lead on quite nicely from the first three. Some of the worries of the main characters are kind of repetitive so I'm giving this a four star. However, I am still very eager to see how the end of books 4, 5 and 6. less
