review 1: It's got a gradual increase in tension, at first, it was quiet dissappointing since it is the 'award-winning' Malorie Blackman but then your gripped in while trying to figure out whats really going on, its different to the noughts and crosses series which is GREAT because other authors tend to just keep the same storyline, which disinterests me straight away. it's very unexpcected; especially the character connections and i would recommend this!
review 2: This book took me a while to read. The plot, the thought Blackman has put into the dystopian world and the themes are extremely interesting and engaging. However I felt this was lost in the way it was written, it's the kind of book you finish thinking I could actually do with a sequel. I felt it was rushed tow
... moreards the end and the style and length did not match up to the brilliant plot etc. It's not a bad book at all, I just didn't find it particularly flowing to read, I never really engaged with the characters and the ending felt luke warm. less

I enjoyed this, but I felt that it didn't go into enough detail; especially at the beginning.

Predicable, but interesting. I do love a good post apocalyptic novel though.

Very 1984-y. Good though.
