review 1: 3.5 * for this Marcia Lynn McClure book. It started off slow for me at first. I found the beginning a little too simplistic and not very believable. The story became more interesting once Lochlan showed up at his home after being absent for a couple of years. I enjoyed the banter and attraction between him and Faris more than The Highwayman's and Faris'.I was able to predict from the beginning the "Highwayman's" true identity. I enjoyed this novel more as the story unfolded - and I really loved the ending.
review 2: I think I don't review well. Because I enjoyed this book, as I do most books, but I didn't really love it. But that's just me. It was a great, clean romance, but I thought it lacked plot. Admittedly I don't read romances, but I want to read more ab... moreout the daring adventures I guess, and I really enjoy tricky plot twists, even though I do like happy endings and togetherness. That's always good. But a whole book trying to figure out who the mysterious Highwayman was? Not enough plot to be interesting. Is this how all romances are? And for the record, I had the highwayman's identity figured out before I had even met the person in daylight. So. Well. I was glad it worked out the way it did. less
