A Town Called Hope
review 1: Margaret Daley is among my favorite Oklahoma authors; however, A Love Rekindled is set along the Gulf Coast, the second in the series A Town Called Hope. I preferred His Holiday Family, the first in the series primarily because the hurricane around which the stories are based strikes during that novel. A Love Rekindled is set during the rebuilding phase for Hope and Keith Sommerfield is struggling. His daughter Kim Walters feels she has to do whatever it takes to hold her family together and rebuild their ancestral home; even if it means asking for help from Zane Davidson, who abandoned her before prom fifteen years earlier.
review 2: When Kim Walters reluctantly asks Zane Davidson for his help in rebuilding her home after a hurricane, she gets more than she
... more bargained for. A lot has happened since her sweetheart had left years before and has returned the hero. Kim and Zane not only have to come to terms with what broke up their relationship but how to make it stronger and Kim learns a valueable lesson in control. I thoroghly enjoyed reading A Love Rekindled. Margaret Daley weaves a story like none other and keeps the reader reading until the last page. The stories that she writes often mirror real life struggles such as hurricanes and lost loves and better yet, matters of faith. I definitely recommend this book to lovers of contemporary christian fiction. I look forward to the next book in Margaret's series. less
