review 1: THis was a very gripping story. She delves into her characters amazingly well. THey just come to life off the page. I will admit it was a bit predictable, yet even through the predictability it was good with twists and turns. I think what it was is at about 70percent through the book, I had to put it down and be a mom and home maker, imagine that! So it was a whole day before I was able to pick it up and continue, it took me longer than I hoped to get back into it. THat of course was my fault not that of the writer. It was a great ending, and clean.
review 2: 3.5 stars. I've had this book on my Kindle for a while and finally got to read it last night. It is a sweet romance set in the Revolutionary War era, although there aren't really a lot of specific ... morehistorical details in the story. It had some surprises at the end and made for a light bedtime read. (One thing that kind of bugged me was that in the middle of the story it all of a sudden started referring to her traveling back to England instead of New York.) less
