review 1: I much as I enjoy reading about the DeLuca family, this book just wasn't as entertaining as the previous books in this Series. I really was looking forward to Abby's story and this book just missed the mark. I liked both the main characters, especially that Jack Tanner. Now, there is a fine specimen of a man!The romance between Abby and Jack was at best average and very predictable. I found the back story about the Historical Preservation Council, that awful statue and the meddling by the townspeople to be distracting, instead of adding value. Plus, I really missed the sexy, Italian DeLuca Brothers, as they had very small roles in this book. I even missed Nonna, and believe me, she can be a pain. I did think Jack’s dad, Guy, added interested. I also felt the ha... morendling of Jack’s and Colin’s friendship was done well. I really hope the next book is back up to the standards of this amusing series.
review 2: I got this book for free as part of the amazon prime program and I enjoyed it very much. Tanner, one of the main protagonists, is very likable and makes you want to keep reading. The only thing is that I felt many of the character besides the main two were extremely obnoxious, which made it difficult to read at times. Also, the end does not explain why Tanner had left Abby the first time around, which made for me the story a bit incomplete. In general though it is a fun read for those of you who, like me, enjoy romantic novels. less
