review 1: 4.5 starsNika moved to Norwich, England to run a pub with her now cheating ex-boyfriend. Now she’s on her own and has sworn off men, enter hot sexy Garrick who’s found his mate and is willing to help her find that not all men are worth swearing off.Garrick is a force to be reckoned with and he wants Nika and uses every sensual weapon in his arsenal. Throw in some “bad” werewolves who will do anything to take out Garrick and his fellow immortal werewolves, and this is an action packed read. This was full of sexy scenes that definitely were steamy and well written.I highly recommend this story for fans of paranormal romance who want a fast, steamy and sexy read that is full of great strong characters.I received a copy in exchange for my honest review. review 2: Nika Ryder owns and operates a pub in England. She had bought the pub with her ex boyfriend that she met in the states. He left her for another woman and now Nika is running the pub herself.Garrick is an immortal werewolf warrior. He is over 1000 years old and lives in a mansion with his brothers-in-arms. Their job is to hunt and kill Fenris werewolves on the first full moon. These werewolves can’t be saved because they only want human flesh.Garrick goes into Nika’s pub for a drink and finds his mate instead. Her smell rushes to his head and he wants her but she won’t give him the time of day. This is odd considering that he is such a ladies’ man and never has a hard time getting what he wants. He threatens to bug her each night until she relents and admits that she wants him. He just hopes that his friends don’t see him grovel. Nika is attracted to Garrick but after a rough break up with her last boyfriend she just wants to go home to the states and doesn’t need the complications that Garrick will obviously bring to her life. Like Garrick promised, he bugs her at work and at home until she gives in to him. Not only do his friends find out about his problem in wooing his mate from the get go but his enemy also notices. What happens when an immortal werewolf warrior loses his mate? He goes through anyone that gets in his way to get her back, of course.Reluctantly His by Marisa Chenery is the third book of her series, Wolves of East Anglia. I was not fortunate to read the first two prior to this one. I have however remedied that once it was finished. The best books are of the male hero that thinks he is god’s gift to woman but instead comes up against a woman that won’t fall at his feet. Garrick is that man and it was so fun to watch him work for it. Nika is that woman and she is just attracted to him, if not more, but won’t let herself take what she wants. She doesn’t want the pain that she thinks goes with it. What she finds instead is a man that can possibly be her one and true mate.Bitten by books for AReCafe less
