review 1: 4.0 Stars!!!A very short book....but actually pretty good story. Dirk meets his mate, whom he hired as an assistant and she shows up for a business lunch with her 3yr old son. He recognizes her as his mate and is devastated that she is married and committed to someone already.Thankfully, she is divorced but her ex is rude, callous and insensitive. Dirk steps up and shows Mack that he is her new man and will take good care of her by taking the family Mack threw away.For any woman who has been rejected by a husband or boyfriend this is the day dream of day dreams...to be wanted by a hot, kind man who let's your insensitive, uncaring ex know he treasures you. It is short, they fall quickly for each other and sex is pretty much the same cookie cutter event it is in each b... moreook...but I like the characters, they are still a fun series and I enjoyed this one the most!I would love to see Miles matched up and get into his head...he might be the most interesting character in this series.
review 2: I really like this series, but I found this book to be a bit short and there wasn't much development between the too main characters. Also, I'm getting a little frustrated with Roxie's constant nagging and interference. I understand that she is the "foretold one" and all, but she's taking it a bit far. Also, with Miles kind of back into things, what happens when he finds out his daughter isn't the foretold one, that everyone has been lying to him? Could the next book maybe be his and we just have to wait? I'm looking forward to it. less
