review 1: Agree with other reviewer who noted that Greaney's characterization of the female character left me wanting. I wish she hadn't come off as naïve. That's my one complaint. Otherwise, the book is fantastic. It was thrilling from front to back. I especially enjoyed the details and the "boots-on-the-ground" experience of the Sudan region of the world. I had to look at the city of Suakin on Google Maps to see the "old-city" island. Fascinating. Can't wait to get to the last two books of the series.
review 2: This Court Gentry novel finds him being pulled from both ends. His new Russian Master wants him to kill the President of the Sudan. His old minders at the CIA want him to kidnap the same President and turn him over to the World Court. If he does so they wil... morel lift the kill order on him. His life is further complicated when his mission goes astray as he tries to rescue a ICC investigator. Deep in enemy territory surrounded by no one who will help him the Gray Man must dig deep to survive. Not as good as the first Court Gentry but a good read. less
