review 1: First of all it is really interesting that the giant Tom Clancy on the cover is part of the title of the book and not an authorial attribution. I can't imagine a book released after stephen kings death written completely by someone else with a giant Stephen King taking up most of the cover. That being said it is really pretty good and very similar (i think) to what clancy would have done. Lots of tradecraft, lots of action, Iranian bad guys, it was all good with a satisfying conclusion.
review 2: I don't know why I keep doing this to myself...since Tom Clancy passed away, Mark Greaney has tried to keep his characters going, presumably with the approval of family and publisher, but he is very noticeably different from Clancy's style and expertise. I found it a v
... moreery dissatisfying imitation, and by the time I was 50 pages into it, I was skipping large sections at a time just to get to key moments and action points. Clancy's notable knowledge of strategy, more or less realistic close-quarters battle technique, firearms, and so forth are almost entirely absent from Greaney's book, except at the most superficial level. I would not recommend it to Clancy fans. less

Way too many coincidences. Character reactionsv seemed way over the top.
