review 1: In this novella we are introduced to Alex Noziak, a half witch/half shaman who is tough, smart and witty. I loved her character - I want more! Even if I did not enjoy the story (which I totally did...immensely!!) I would continue the series just to have more of Alex. Fantastic writing and imagery make this story un-put-downable. I'm saying that's a word, just go with it. If you love urban fantasy and paranormal, this is a story you need to read! I'm looking forward to reading more Invisible Recruits books and getting to know Alex better.I bought this book and am reviewing it because I loved it and because I love the author. :)
review 2: Invisible Prison was my first book by Mary Buckham, but it certainly won't be my last. This novella is a great adventure fille
... mored with magic, a kick-ass heroine, a sexy and mysterious "Mercenary Guy" type male lead, lots of action/adventure and the formation of a top-secret group of non-humans whose purpose will be revealed in Buckham's acclaimed "Invisible Recruits" series. I like the way this woman writes: Fast, witty, action-packed and laced with magic. I can't wait to read the next book in the series. less
