review 1: I received this book from the publisher.I love mysteries; it is my favorite genre. I really wanted to like this book but I could not get past the first 50 pages. I found the characters to be unlikeable and they seemed to be constantly yelling or sniping at each other.The author did a good job of introducing the characters for readers not familiar with the series. Maybe if I had started the series from the beginning I would have a different opinion on the character's personalities.
review 2: WOW! I finally won a book! And it's one of my Very Favorite Authors. I have read all of the Bed-and-Breakfast Series, as well as all the Alpine Series. All the Pretty Hearses was another winner! I felt like I was there and all of the characters seem real. The story line... more was very good. -A bunch of weidos made it hard to find the killer. Yet, it all comes together in the end. Judith always figures it out. Keep writing Mary, I'll keep reading, even if I have to buy the book! less
