review 1: Excellent, as usual. Mary Dave in has written a winner again. Her series of books are set in a small town called Alpine. The local sheriff and his wife are the main characters and when they aren't solving crimes, they are falling in love. Fortunately, with each other. They are very likable and interesting characters and the series is wonderful. I always look forward to another book in this series.

With Emma and Milo married, the dynamic is just different enough that the reader can't be sure of their reactions.Vida Runkle is off in the book and she never seems to find her footing.Drugs and prostitution are only two of the problems plaguing Alpine as well as the surroun... moreding communities.
