review 1: I hate these formulaic, happy ending books that are so mindless. I guess that's why people like them so much, since most of the characters end up in a good place, (or get what they deserve) and who wouldn't want that fantasy. I really want to give it 1.5 stars, because it was so predictable; however it was only slightly less laughably corny than Macomber books, so I'll give it 2 stars. Easy read for the beach.
review 2: TERRIBLE! Not a single likable character. Bad and boring dialogue. Unnecessary descriptions. Tired old plot. Skipped over multiple pages at a time bc I just couldn't stand these people. Didn't really finish it - skimmed the Epilogue.Where is the wit and charm of her first few books? I imagine the discussion about publishing this book with MKA'
... mores editor went something similar to the scene in "She Devil" when Meryl Streep explains how the chapter on laundry is A METAPHOR! (But with less irony) "Tell me how much money I'm going to make!" less
