review 1: In the past I have enjoyed reading many of the magic tree house books with my kids. But this one seems to fall flat. The person Jack and Annie go to visit is Florence Nightengale and yet she hardly seems to be in the book. I feel for Ms. Osborne. It's got to be hard to consistently churn out high quality books, especially when she has already covered so very many topics. All and all I was not impressed by the later book in the series.

Florance asked Jack and Annie to look after her pet monkey. Then Florance and her other friend asked Jack and Annie to meet them at the valley of the Queens. When Jack and... more Annie got there the monkey suddenly ran away. Then they knew why, The monkey saw jackles! The jackles chased the monkey up a cliff. Soon Jack and Annie saw the little monkey standing on a edge of a cliff. They knew why the jackles weren't there because the cliff was to steep for it to climb. Soon Jack and Annie thought of a plan to get the monkey down. They wished to be great rock climbers with the magic dust. So they climbed up and got the monkey. But when they started down both of them slipped and fell! When they landed on the ground they relised that Annie had sprained her ankle and Jack had broken his arm. But Florance put bandeges on both of them. Did they find the secret of greatness?Well yes they did.I love this book! This book is totally the best book in whole wide world!If you want to know about the whole story book you just have to go to the Edmonton Public Libery and put a hold on it. less
