review 1: I found the story very engaging, a real page turner presenting a pretty good representation of the London drains scene. The contemporary culture of working young adults as they frantically search for meaningful relationships in their cutthroat and dispassionate corporate environment, is depicted very well, making me both laugh and ponder at times. The smooth narrative also presents a subtitle balance between fate and initiative, this making this book an excellent textbook for all seekers of love in a super busy London.
review 2: This was a very funny book but it was let down by how drawn out it was. I get that the whole thing happened in a day but I got so bored reading such detailed descriptions about mundane details (like when Calum was shaving). Also, it pl... moreodded along really slowly until the last quarter or so when things suddenly happened extremely quickly, the pacing was all wrong.Saying that though, I did enjoy this - some scenes had me laughing out loud, and I liked the characters. It just needs a bit of refining. less
