Jenny Cooper
review 1: Good start into the “Coroner“ series. Jenny Cooper is an interesting protagonist, a very flawed person who has to deal with a marriage gone wrong and her estranged teenage son who stayed behind with ex-hubby. Her constant panic attacks don't make her stressful job any easier and on the love side things become equally complicated. There is a lot of potential for messy situations which the author uses to full capacity. It will be interesting to learn how Jenny's relationship with her assistant Alison will develop and how things with Steve turn out. All in all a very entertaining read which makes you want to read the next instalments in the series.
review 2: I read The Disappeared (book 2 in the Jenny Cooper series) first and had mixed feelings until I read th
... moree ending which was a total shocker. I vowed then to read book one to get a clearer sense of who Jenny Cooper was and how she came to be a Coroner. Enjoyed it much more with the descriptions of her house and the surrounding area and although she still annoys me to some extent, I'm much happier with the character and how all the main players in her life are situated. Shall definitely be continuing with the series. less
