review 1: I came across this book when an author friend (Emily Ryan Davis) commented that she'd stayed up until 4am to finish "His Secretary". The premise was intriguing and I pressed the "Buy" button.Wow. First of all, this book is damn funny. The one liners were quick, snappy and the dialogue is fabulous. I've said a million times that to read someone in first person, I had to like the character I was spending time with. I love Meghan. The woman is amazing, smart, and heartbreakingly familiar. The way these two characters find love with each other is both fun and angst-ridden. This is an author I'm going to make sure I check out.
review 2: Interesting premise...she finds out her male boss is the author of the romance books she has been reading. It started promis
... moreing, but it just didn't do it for me. There was a lot of jumping around, a few times I had to go back to see if I missed a paragraph because I wasn't sure what the heck happened! There were some funny moments, some real Adrian is a jerk moments, some really hot moments. But what really bugged me is how Meghan had absolutely no backbone when it came to her mother! I'm so tired of these otherwise strong, independent women just letting their parents roll all over them! Gah, it ticks me off.I was happy with the end, glad they worked things out, but just not something I'd really recommend. less
