review 1: Let's just say that I sort of anticipated Loch to be gay. I thought he was either going to be a bad guy or gay. I must say I am very happy that he is the latter. This was a great book. I enjoyed it a lot. I am mind blown due to the fight during the dance. However, I would think that they wouldn't need to have built a fire to make fire. I mean couldn't one of the fire mages have just conjured up some fire and threw massive fire balls at the Shadow Knights? I don't know, but this was amazing. I loved how Dylan took charge. (: I am very excited that Spirit and Burke are going out. I totally expected that one. (: I think that Burke is an awesome character. Now, since this have major spoilers I am going to have to hide this review. Haha, I usually don't do that. But i just l... moreoved this book. I started the third book today and I LOVE it (: Again, I love all the Harry Potter references. (:
review 2: This second book in the series was much better than the first. It had a more cohesive story line, even though the story was about the team getting separated. It was smoothly written, but not dark.The main thing I did not like was the true reason for all the bad things is still a mystery - maybe even to the authors.I reread this and I liked some of the revealed secrets, and am enjoying the direction this is taking. less
