review 1: Reading this collection of vampire stories back-to-back has the slight disadvantage of wanting to shake all the characters by the shoulders saying "don't you understand why so-and-so is wasting away; their blood is being sucked out of them!" Fun. Don't miss the ending of Aleksei Tolstoy's story. It's genuinely creepy.
