review 1: I was quite surprised by this issue to be honest. Expectations were really low..I just wanted to read something and this thing popped up. So I started and I couldn't stop until the book was over. This is my first encounter with Supergirl (I do not count Powergirl) in the separated comic book series. I expected that this is going to be one of those dull teenage girly books. But it is not. Really nice origin story. I partly know what awaits Kara in the future from green/red lantern books but I can't wait to read more.
review 2: I've never really been a fan of Supergirl's or even paid much attention to her, to be honest, LOL. She was never a character that really caught my attention enough to want to invest in and learn more about. >.< But with the New 52 reboot,

I really felt for Kara and the situation she found herself in and I ended up really liking her character so far. I have a few issues with the design of her costume, but that aside, I enjoyed the story and the artwork. I'm excited to keep reading this series and hope it won't disappoint, haha. XD less

I love the art. I've followed Asrar for years and he's gotten so good.
