review 1: The book True Legend is a interesting book that can inspire people worldwide. It is based on a young kid named drew that is very good at basketball. He comes across a couple of unique characters that teach him a few things. He strives for his goal and becomes a very great player. The story will inspire you and show you how he was motivated for his goals. He loves the game and plays it everyday to get better. If you like stories that have action in it or always something going on then this is your kind of book. I have read sports books before but this isn't a boring normal sports book. It puts you in the shoes of a good basketball player and you understand what goes on. Even if your new to basketball you could easily get attached. The author was very good at making people r... moreealize all the details into the game. Most of all it brings up all the struggles a teenage kid could go through playing sports. It is not a very large book you could read through it pretty fast. I hope you like it as much as i did. This booked is aimed at young teens interests and relates to a sport they can be involved in.
review 2: I really enjoyed reading "True Legend" by Mike Lupica. I think part of the reason I like this book is because it is centered around basketball. Since basketball is my favorite sport it really connected me to the story. The book is about a protege high school basketball player, Drew, whose career will eventually be to play in the NBA. One day at night, in the park he spies on a man in his 20's-30's playing basketball. This mystery man is absolutely amazing and Drew makes it his mission to find out who he is and why he's not playing professionally. less
