review 1: The book The Underdogs by Mike Lupica was a great novel about a group of boys who must not only defy the odds of winning the championship, but also work hard just to get the team to be made. The story tells readers a great story of how kids can come together to make great things happen. The boys also show readers how perseverance to accomplish a goal will get the job done. I loved to read the book because it related to the type of person i am and i would strongly recommend this book to all teens.
review 2: In The Underdogs my favorite part and one thing that stood out was Will:the main character because he in the beginning his football team was nearly canceled just when will wrote to CEO of New Balance asking to sponsor his football team, and said yes. This pro... moreves that Will loves football so much. Imagine if your football team was canceled. another thing that stood out was the theme the author gave this book. The theme is give the crowd something to cheer about. This theme is perfect for this book’s plot because during Will’s games that what he and his teammates did. They won to impress the crowd because the locals in his town were starting to lose hope. One other item is how I started learn new facts about the Characters. For example I learned that Toby can throw a football far when I was near the end. I would like to read more books like this one and I recommend any football fans to take a look at this. less
