review 1: I had to read this book after reading Accidentally In Love with a...God? I was NOT disappointed at all with this second book in the series! I am a fan of vamps anyway, but Niccolo is a rare kind of guy! And Helena is certainly a spitfire of a woman. I enjoy the fact that Mimi write females that aren't simpering and whining from start to finish. And the humor infused into the book really makes me laugh out loud sometimes! It is believe able to think that Niccolo has been lock away for 300 years when he doesn't know how to take some of the language that Helena uses.I also really enjoy the crazy Cimil in these books!I would recommend these book to paranormal fans and fans of romantic stories as well! Cannot wait to read the next book!
review 2: What a let down afte
... morer such an entertaining opening to this series! (Accidentally in Love With ... A God?)Okay, vampires aren't my thing, but I was willing to be open minded after I enjoyed the first book in the series so much. And actually, the vampire thing was not the problem. The main problem was that the whole book was prophecy-directed to the point that the main characters didn't seem to be driving the story. That honor belonged to the goddess who set things going and kept interfering to keep things going. Gods are tricky to handle at best when plotting, and at worst they drain all the drama from a story. This was one of the latter cases. On top of that, there was no chemistry at all between the two main characters. There was steam, but no chemistry. Talk about OVERWHELMING LUST! These two are apparently mated, which in the vampire universe means they're stuck with one another. Can't stop thinking about the other. And there was definitely lots of thinking about one another ... usually in bed. But neither of them knew the first thing about one another and they spent practically no page time together. In fact, Helena spent a LOT more time getting to know another man, so much so that by the end of the book I more than half wished she'd found a way to get together with him, even if this stupid mate bond thing kept her thinking about the vampire. For all those reasons, I actually skipped the sex scenes. It doesn't matter how much steam you build your lust, if that's all you give me I'm not into it. That could just be me. I'm concerned about continuing with this series. It struck me, after reading this, that it followed a similar pattern to the first book in many ways. But in the first book, the main character had spent all 22 years of her life with a god in her head, so I had no doubt that they knew one another. All that remained was the sexual relationship. But in future books I'm going to need a connection and I'm wondering if it's going to be there? I'll move on to #3 and see, but that may be it. less

**I received a copy of this book in exchange for an unbiased and honest review**Review:5 starsGeneral: This is by far my favorite in the Accidentally series. I felt like it really had all the elements needed for a great comical romance. The heroine was feisty, intelligent and take charge despite everything thrown at her from a supernatural standpoint. The hero was dark and alpha and sexy....and drool worthy for sure. Together they faced danger and the plot moved along nicely. I felt the pace was perfect and finished the book in one sitting. The interactions between Helena and Niccolo felt very genuine. The emotions were right on target and they had m laughing and ready to beat them up for stupid choices. Definitely my favorite pair from the series and I've only got one book left! If you're looking for a mix of old school vampires mixed with a little of the sex and glamour and all of the heat from today's popular vamps be sure to check this one out.

This book was as good as the first even though it didn't continue from where the last book left off. But that's ok! In this 2nd installation of the series, we get introduced to Niccolo Diconti and it gives us a different view in the world the author has created. This vampire has been sleeping for 300 years waiting for his true one... But when he meets her he has trouble keeping her and out of trouble! As their desire is undeniable, there are other forces at play that threaten their lives and love and they have to find a way to survive.I really enjoyed how the world of vampires are introduced and explained. Their role is important to the needs of the gods and humanity.
