review 1: I absolutely love these books. I was so wrapped up in the story. I knew this was the last book out (now I have to wait until August) but it slipped my mind until I finished reading this novella. What a sad realization. Cannot wait to finish the story. :)I have now read all of the books I could get my hands on by Mimi Jean. I am hooked. Thank you for writing such fun stories and keeping me hanging on for more!
review 2: ' I received a complimentary copy of this book through Netgalley from the publisher in exchange for an honest review 'Cimil. Is. Evil. That is what it all comes down to. She doesn't try to be but she just can't help it. Every time she tries to do something good it all goes wrong. While looking for her brother Kinich ( The Sun God ) she see's
... morea handsome pharaoh and she is entranced. She goes to him that night and she see's a disturbing future. Before she can leave he places a collar on her neck that takes away her powers and she cannot leave. He knows what she is and he wants her as his bride and will go to any lengths to make that happen. But as with anything with Cimil, tragedy strikes and Roberto is turned into the first Vampire. Years later Roberto finds Cimil. He can't get her out of his head. He has changed his ways and is trying to do good. He knows Cimil's evil ways and he doesn't want to be in love with someone so evil. He asks her for 30 days to find out if he is truly in love with her or if he can find a way to get over her. Roberto blames Cimil for many things but will his feelings about her change when he finds out the truth? My Opinion: I think that this was a much needed addition to the series. Cimil is really getting a bad rep and I know that I was really starting to hate her as much as I love her. She's the one that you love to hate but you can't help to love her too because she is so quirky. It was great to get Cimil's back story and to find out why she does the things that she does and we find out why Roberto does not talk in the other books. This can be read as a stand alone but I don't suggest it. I honestly think that this one should be read in the series order or you will go through the books with a different opinion then you would if you haven't read it. I definitely suggest reading.
