review 1: One review for all three novellas. Unlikely as it seems, Ryder Stevens, an Englishman, is the best tennis player in the world. He is so good that to make it interesting for himself and others he deliberately handicaps himself by drinking and partying before a game.He gets his comeuppance when he breaks his ass (coccyx) and ends up in hospital. Reading a critical "fan" letter Ryder calls the fan only to speak with his mother. They strike up a relationship but her ex is causing issues

... mores kinda flat… nothing too exciting. 2.5 stars coz it’s not enough, I wanted to drop it around 60% but I didn’t coz I was hoping that it would get better, hopefully volume 2 would be much better than this one. less
