Elephant & Piggie
review 1: This book is about an elephant, a pig and a snake want to play catch, but they face a little problem in the way. ¿Will the three of them be able to play together in the end?I am not ashamed to say I LOVED this book. As an adult, it feels funny to be able to still laugh when reading children's books but it's a nice feeling. I think Mo nailed it with this series of elephant and piggie. The story is simple and so are the illustrations, but that's what makes it so unique I guess. And the fact that besides being funny, also carries an inclusion message makes it even better. This one is definitely a keeper. I would recommend this book to every beginning reader, because it is a good introduction to books, proving that they can be funny and a good source of entertainment. The fac... moret that also, there is few text, helps them feel like they are actually capable of reading books by themselves, and that feeling of autonomy is absolutely essential in a kids life.
review 2: I really enjoyed this one and it was actually quiet funny to say the least. Gerald and Piggie think that 'snake' cannot play catch because he/she (gender is not mentioned) doesn't have arms. Gerald and Piggie decide to try and find ways so Snake can play catch with them. Very cute book and I think this is my second favorite one of them all, my first being "We are in a Book!".2014-Summer-Reading-Review less
