“The Duckling Gets a Cookie!?” is written for 4-8 years-old children by Mo Willems. This is a book for those who loves to laugh aloud. review 1: It is cute, but I don't think most kids get the whole silent film/drama aspect. You really need a tinny piano plunking out dramatic music for it to be truly appreciated. Also, it doesn't send a great message. It isn't 'strangers are bad' its more 'do whatever you want and it will...

review 1: While this one wasn't your typical silly, surprising ending, I was still surprised! The book very calmly deals with the issue of trying to be honest to a friend when you have a low opinion of something they are doing. It's a hard skill, and one that it's great to have modeled f...

review 1: Well, this is a Mo Willems book and it is good. If this your first Mo Willems book, it is great. This is several pigeon books for me, and they are all good, they are all smile-inducing, and kids especially don't seem to be sick of them, so maybe I should rate this higher, but I'l...

review 1: Logan is just beginning to read on his own and these books are perfect for that. Willems is so good at writing for new readers while keeping it funny and engaging for kids and grown-ups alike. In this book, for example, he has Piggie introduce the word "pretending" to Gerald, and...
