review 1: I loved sharing this book with my six year old grandson. He loves the Elephant and Peggie book series. He even found this one himself at the library. In this book, Gerald the elephant thinks he is allergic to his best friend Piggie and worries he will have to stay away from her for life. He is concerned and goes to see the doctor. There he finds that he isn't allergic at all, he only has a cold. He is so happy to tell his friend that he isnt allergic. This is a cute book to enjoy with a child.
review 2: Piggie and Gerald are best friends, but Gerald keeps sneezing around Piggie. Gerald thinks he can't be friends with Piggie anymore because she is the cause of his sneezing. Gerald decides to go to the doctor, and he still kept on sneezing. Gerald was so... more excited when he found out he had a cold. He ran to tell his friend that they could still be friends because he was sick. By that time Piggie was sick as well. This book is an easy read and I would use it to teach students how to read. This book includes several of high frequency words that students are supposed to know. less
