review 1: OK, I have followed Jane to the last sentence. I have watched her evolve and explore herself. I was still slightly annoyed that her character was just another girl who had a sad past, with a series of traumatic emotional events that wrecked her confidence and personal growth, blah blah. BUT, in spite of my qualms as a reader who is always searching for fantasy-ish, romance-ish, violent-ish, mystery-ish books that aren't following a recipe, sharing commonalities with one another to the point of me wanting to throw the books across the room in a fit of deja vu.... I still love the character interactions and the surprises that manage to take me off guard. I notice that some people are happy main characters didn't die. That's cool. I also notice that not many people commented ... moreon the ending being so sweet, which was almost counter to Jane growing into a BAMF. Nah she wanted what she wanted, so deal.
review 2: I really wanted to give this book 5 stars, but the first portion of the novel had what was a major flaw for me. It had a Deus ex machina moment that disappointed me. Without giving too much away, I will say that I understand why that moment was in there and how it fit into the overall theme of the story, BUT, I think it was too easy and kind of a cheat for solving Jane's problem. I left off the 5th book curious to see how Peeler wrapped things up and found a solution to the problem she worked Jane into, and I had high hopes. So, when I got to the deus ex machina moment I was disappointed because it seemed like the easy way out. I understand it and why Peeler did it, but I guess the earlier books had gotten my expectations too high and I expected something more interesting.Ignoring that moment of disappointment early on, however, the book was extremely good. I enjoyed seeing the wrap up of the first 5 novels come together so well, and I think the ending was perfect and satisfying. I still had a few questions that weren't answered, but they weren't really important and more of a sign of my overly-curious nature rather than unfinished plot lines. There was a lot of battles and action, and a lot of Jane thinking on her feet and coming into her own. I think this book made a fine end to the series and I would gladly recommend this series to anyone who enjoys an urban fantasy romance story. less

A nice end to the Jane True series. I felt like Jane finally came into her own.
