review 1: While I love the Jane True series, and enjoy the main characters of this book, it just lacked something for me. I wish the author had spent more time developing the characters and helping the reader understand more about who they are. While I like the idea that these women love each other like sisters and work together as investigators, how did they come to be such good friends? It was an enjoyable book, but I wanted and expected more after her other books.
review 2: “A priest walks in to an all female supernatural detective agency….”No, this is not the opening of a really bad joke, but the start of a new short story by Nicole Peeler, where Father Matthes calls upon the three PI’s of Triptych to determine why girls are going missing from his private sch... moreool. Soon Cappie, Shar and Moo are going undercover to find out where the what has really happened to these girls. This was a really great, light read. While I love Jane True, the leading lady in Nicole Peeler’s Tempest series, it was awesome to revisit some of the other characters that have cropped up in the series. So if you are already a fan or just want a fast fun read, I highly recommend it. less
