review 1: It's not my favorite Nicole Williams book, but I've read enough of her other works to know the diversity of her characters and to know that these are just ones I don't prefer- not necessarily a sign of all her work. I was lucky enough to read the short story from GlassHeart Chronicles, which details a scene of this book from his point of view. If this entire book were in his point of view I might like it better. I just couldn't get passed the main character.
review 2: I had so much hope in this book. The first few chapters I found pretty engrossing and the voice of Bryn pulled me in. She started out spunky, funny and I enjoyed her interactions with William. I like that the female character is strong but fragile. My biggest problem came when Bryn somehow lost he
... morer spunk, and gradually became annoying. Then it kinda went downhill from there. The story lost its spark, I just can't get myself interested anymore. What a shame, it could have been good book. less
