review 1: This book hit home! As a girl who once lost weight by consisting on a few chips from a 100 calorie snack packs and a few cheez-its for dinner for a couple months, I felt like I understood Zoe and the other girls in the book. I devoured this book (hehe). I think it was written pretty well, and I enjoyed the relationship that Zoe and Elise had. It was heartbreaking at times when Zoe's heart was breaking from not hearing back from Elise and cringe-worthy at times when Elise declared she would only eat "wet desserts" and how these girls would discuss their anorexia at ages as young as 8. It's terrifying as a mom to read this. I felt like I was 16 year old girl again, with the debilitating self-consciousness, and wanting more than anything to be a twig. The ending was a little ... moreweak for me. I thought there could have been much more but all the same I truly enjoyed this book.
review 2: the book zoe letting go by nora price is about a girl who gets sent to a meantal hospital for girls and writes to her best friend to help her even though nothing is wrong with her.she hates it there there are a lot of rules and she hates them. they make her eat foods she is allegic to. I chose this book because reading the back it looked like a really good story. When i got in to the book it sounded even better. It really told the story it destcribed and didnt tell a story. In the beging of the book zoe starts writting letters to he best friend but her friend couldnt message back because there was no return address. Zoe felt alone and had no one to talk to. In the middle of the book the girls started do judge zoe. Zoe knew she had to let go of her old life but she couldnt. She started to become friends with one of the girls but she stil felt alone. In the end of the book zoe is allowed to leave her mom got her. When zoe got home her best friend she wrote letters to greted her. She said she got the letters but couldnt write back. less
